To mark the upcoming US election 2020 I thought running a democracy themed October prompt might be interesting. I want to encourage people to vote and encourage people to use their voice. And wherever you are from you can explore what democracy means to you in whatever context you find yourself in. Here are the rules for participation

- Choose a word, you can use them in any order, and create a poem or song inspired by the prompt.
- In your poem link to this blog post, tell us which word you used, and use #candlemirrorprompts, so we can find your posts.
- We will select our favourites and feature them here and on our Instagram feed. There is no need to wait until October so if one of these words inspires you then go for it and share your work with us.
