Welcome to The World Outside the Window a magazine style website offering an eclectic mix of the arts and top quality journalism.
The site is edited and managed by John de Gruyther. John is an author, poet, songwriter and visual artist. He has delusions of grandeur and wishes he was Johan Cruyff.
John has worked with Titan Publishing, Star Trek Magazine, The Guardian, LSG Media, The Citizen, SFX magazine and many more.
He has just published his first eBook – Aardvark Tales (published by The World Outside the Window Publishing). His first poetry collection is due for release September 2018 in paperback and e-book formats.
John has recently signed with the independent publishing house Free Verse Revolution, agreeing to produce exclusive work for the online edition.
John is the co-founder of “The Poet is Mightier than the Sword.” spoken word event. He is also the lead poet for the PEEL project.
All the contributors to The World Outside the Window are dedicated to finding the truth within the lie, the uplifting in the horrific. The philosophy at The World Outside HQ is that there is a beautiful world outside the window and we have to have the compassion to notice it and to share it with each other.
