I have always been fascinated with the tradition of the Chinese dragon dancers. This is a sketch I did earlier in the week and I have elaborated on the original idea, adding pastel colours. The people in the picture are shadowy outlines because when I was a child I saw only the dragon. There were no people operating it as far as I was concerned.
