Waiting
4pm go for a drive
The last time with just two
an intimacy in the quiet
a private moment for no one else
6pm go see a film “Along Came Polly.”
Contractions soon come on
Everybody on tenterhooks, the wait has been long
Not just 9 months, all the pain that went before
Waiting
Beautiful, eyes open, perfect miraculous silence
Water signifying life
The wait is over
Two becomes three
