They’re always riffing on your pain

The same song over and over again

A guitar lick or a dirty trick

It’s all too plain

He went by the house everyday, he on his bike, she in her room or wooden box, it’s hard to say

The dancer in the window

She was beautiful in her unknowable mystery

The sun streaming through the full length window, secrets illuminated her balletic majesty

He was in love, always in love with an idea. A pirouette, a jete, she only moved when wound correctly

The dancer in the window sung his name as she danced to the same riff once again
