Does Dark Matter?
So if there was an explosion
What is the commotion
Does dark matter?
If it proves to be the latter
There may be some clearing up to do
I thought I was free
But I am not
Depraved followings
Can’t let me stop
Does dark matter?
All inane chatter
Foreboding about a hole in a hill

The World Outside the Window 
This poem is taking me to all kinds of strange mind places then dumping me.Then it drags me off somewhere else and does it again. But this is a compliment. Its effect is subliminal and mind expanding, and reminds me of the times when I experimented with consciousness shifting. But perhaps I haven’t explained it well. Is it a song by any chance? It may well lend itself to music. Have I got this completely wrong? PS. And it’s a great poem.

Thanks Rachael, no it’s not a song yet! I do write songs though and sometimes when I write lyrics (more so recently for some reason?) I start off with a poem, with a mind to setting it to music eventually. Interestingly that wasn’t the case with this one, but now you’ve said this it has made me wonder if it would make a good song 🙂
I think I wanted the words to have multiple meanings and some of it is a bit of a play on words. It was one of those odd times when the words just came out in one go, thanks for reading and glad you liked it 🙂
