A photograph can conjure memories long forgotten or capture moments that words flounder when trying to articulate what is being shown. The Wildlife photographer of the year people’s choice winner 2018 is one such photo. It portrays Pikin the gorilla and her rescuer Appolinaire.
Seeing this today reminded me that there is so much hope and compassion in the world. I will say no more and let the picture speak for itself.
