Since April I’ve shown an increasing proclivity towards drawing and pastel art. I’m still learning (I hope to never stop) and developing my style but it has opened up new avenues of storytelling for me, which is exciting.
I’d always dismissed myself as a rubbish artist (due to various things including a difficult experience with art classes at school) and of course whether art is good or not is very subjective. The main thing is that for me it has been hugely beneficial from a creative point of view and it has had therapeutic benefits.
This a piece I’ve named Exxon Valdez.

I do love your art. I always look forward to seeing what the sketch will be that accompanies your writing. I’ve written a little piece on how I found my inner visual artist. I can definitely sympathise with the agonies of art class.
