Some of my favourite artists together singing a song close to my heart.

This really is a roll call of rock and roll royalty and whilst sometimes these superstar line-ups can flatter to deceive this is a great performance, as part of the Last Waltz (the Band’s farewell concert), and it’s interesting to see Dylan appearing to enjoy performing.

He’s in the height of his “hanging out with his famous mates” phase so you can still immediately identify what song he’s singing. Of course this was probably just the role he had chosen to play at this time. He’s music’s ultimate trickster, the Loki of folk and one of the reasons I love him.
