Faith isn’t superficial
It’s not made of a disposable plastic. Can’t be thrown away because it hasn’t lasted.
In fact it’s like this wood. Strong, permanent and durable.
Not dogmatic or automatic. It’s something that needs to be carved and sculpted.
Always prepared to grow, like the tree the wooden lord came from.

The World Outside the Window 
That’s beautiful John. Have you seen the wooden crucifixion in the cemetery at Prinknash. It is so old and gnarled but beautiful like your carved Lord.
