She could once memorize every species
But now her memories live in a box
There’s a sphinx on that roof, or it maybe a ram, a cockerel, or maybe that dog thing from the ghostbusters
A whole row of houses and it’s the only one
He only noticed because he looked up, on the way to the “home”.
Was there some practical application for this adornment or did the man, woman or child that put it there do so for its aesthetic appeal. What was in their mind at the moment the idea was conceived?
May they have ease of being whether they are in this world or the next.
