Now I don’t usually participate in blogging awards but from time to time I like to subvert the rules, like with many things in my life. And it is certainly nice to be recognised by a fellow blogger.
I prefer a more organic approach and from time to time I will promote other people’s work because they have inspired me in some way.
Today I want to thank Writing on a Rock for posting nice things on my page but mostly I want to promote her page. She’s fairly new to blogging but I think her writing is brilliant, it immediately grabbed me with its urgency, and I can’t wait to read more of her work.

And because these questions are sometimes fun I will answer the Rock’s questions.
If I could be any character in any book, who would it be, and why?
Alice from Alice in wonderland as I’d like to meet that rascal the Cheshire Cat. Or maybe Paddington Bear because of the marmalade.
Share with us your favourite all-time quote.
“They say I shot a man named Gray
And took his wife to Italy
She inherited a million bucks
And when she died it came to me
I can’t help it if I’m lucky.” Bob Dylan
Of all people, living or dead, who would you most like to interview?
Judith Kerr and Leonard Nimoy, perhaps they could come over to The World Outside HQ for tea and scones.
And here’s my question to you all. What book or film made you want to be a better person?
Mine was Cry Freedom. The film showed me that there are stark injustices in the world and a fire lit inside me! I want to speak out and I want the world to change.
Thank you so much – I appreciate that more than words can say (and I’m not usually lost for words!) Here’s to all lovers of all things creative.
Thanks again. J.
