Poetry Festival

I’m excited to be making my spoken word debut for this event. I will be performing three of my poems alongside an exciting lineup. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for some time and have finally summoned up the courage to give it a try.

Poetry should be heard as well as read and I remember hearing a recording of Allen Ginsberg recite Howl and this inspired me with thoughts of what can be done through poetry.

I hope to be able to come up with an interesting performance that conveys the rhythm of the words in the way that I hear them in my head. We shall see but I am excited by the challenge and happy that Cheltenham Poetry Festival has given me the opportunity.
