Part 1 – Apocalypso
I never thought the apocalypse
would end up quite like this
I imagined some zombie-eyed demise
and the streets awash with shit
I never thought the apocalypse
would end up quite like this
With missiles raining down in Gaza
a world full of hypocrites
What would you do to see the trees again? What would you do, if
this really was the end
The ice caps are melting but still we turn away
We don’t want to see it because of bills to pay
Chimney stacks are belching poison to the skies, greed, war and famine, capitalism in disguise
And what would you do to see the trees again? And what would you do my friends, if this really was the end.
Sun is shining, sun is shining in my face again
Sun is shining, must be dreaming, fields of green again
Lennon said it
Ghandi said it
Kermit said it
Rosa said it
Jesus said it
Mandela said it
Twain said it
Dylan said it
All lovers say it
Dream to dream again
