Sometimes it may seem that we are saturated with causes and charities asking for our money and I understand that it is impossible to support and give money to every cause out there. But the one powerful thing that we can all do, regardless of our economic situation, is speak up and use our voices. Just by raising issues in a public space or sharing your thoughts in a group of friends can have a powerful impact, because it helps to get the facts of social injustice, human rights abuses, and poverty into the popular consciousness. Speaking out can make these issues part of our everyday discussions and this can only be a good thing. It is surely through simple acts like love and tolerance, that we can make a difference, we all have the capability to care and this power should not be underestimated.

The petition is asking FIFA not to afford huge tax breaks to their sponsors, these tax breaks deprive host nations of vital tax revenues. And for countries with great poverty this money could literally make the difference between life and death.
