The Rival

Am I rival to you now

Is that why you no longer call?

Do the words I write

Bring no comfort to your door

Is my name

Enemy

Or Nemesis

When I only wanted to be a friend

Does the food I now bring to the table

Somehow offend

I never got a line

Let alone a credit

But when success comes knocking at your door

Can I claim the debit?
