John and Diana were inspired to write this resource by their experience of supporting children and young people affected by trauma.

Hedgehog Finds Her Voice is a 48 page illustrated story book designed to help young people feel heard. We created this story because children have told us that when they tell someone that something has happened to them, whether that is a crime or traumatic incident, they feel blamed, scared or their experience is not taken seriously.

Co-produced with primary aged children Hedgehog Finds Her Voice tells the real stories of children everywhere in an accessible way that gives children the confidence and tools to speak up.

As well as the book being available to buy we are running interactive workshops in schools that explore the themes of the story, and we have developed an educational resource pack with a range of activities that can be used to teach whole classes or in one to one interventions.
