When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three,
I was hardly Me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six, I’m as clever as clever.
So I think I’ll be six now for ever and ever.
By AA Milne
For me this poem captures perfectly the innocent spirt of childhood and the emotion and sentiment of this poem is something I try to carry around with me always.
Be peaceful,
John

I love this. Thank you for reminding me to read Winnie The Pooh more often! x

My children were curious as to why it is titled The End?

I think it is the last poem in the book and it is a child’s reflection on age, saying they will stop aging at six as that’s a good age to stay at…
